A joint fundraiser between the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria
Dear Symphony Supporter,
You are invited to the most prestigious fundraising gala Victoria has seen for many years! All funds raised will be distributed equally between the Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera Victoria.
The aim is to raise a net amount sufficient to offset deficits and losses resulting from the recent economic turndown and government cut-backs.
This Unforgettable Charman Event will be held at Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria, BC
on Saturday, May 15th 2010. 6:00pm.
$225 per person ($100 tax receipt)
The gala evening will commence with a bubbly/hors d'oeuvres reception in the famous Tea Lobby and Palm Court room. This will be followed by a stunning 60-minute performance in the adjacent conference hall theatre with Tania Miller conducting the Victoria Symphony and the world-renowned Mary Lou Fallis, famous for her comic opera stage productions, and Victoria's own version of Pavarotti - Sunny Shams. Following the performance will be a sumptuous grazing party in the Empress Ball Room and an 8-item live auction. Throughout the evening there will be an array of items in the silent auction.
